New PC builds dead.. perhaps just new hobbies ??

Hi all,

A long time ago we made threads on new pc builds or upgrades in the PC MasterRace, but I think peoples hobbies has change a bit over the years.

So what is your "new" (geeky/nerdy) hobby today? (I'm guessing people still have hobbies?? the kinds that needs an excess of gadgets  )

I will start...

I have startet fishing again (couple of years now)
And yes it's a gadget sport, other than rod and wheel, you will need the right hat, boots/waders, gloves, toungs, net,
bag, scale just to name a few, and a workbench for making new lures or cleaning you stuff 
Equipment that I am currently using:

for wheels:
Primary = Daiwa 19 Certate LT3000-CXH
Secondary = PENN Fierce III 3000

Rods:
Primary = W|3 (Lake/River/coast)
Secondary = PENN Regiment II (coast)

Bag = Härkila

Boots/Waders = Rubber Vikings (planning on new ones, bit cold spring and fall)

Net = McLean (foldable)

Hat = Using a normal "cap" for now

Gloves = Mustard

Tounges = Kinetic

Scale = Super Samson

Workbench = none so far, using the one we have in the shed

Although I like fishing, I rarely do it.
Me and my cousin go fishing when we think its nice weather and we want some time to relax. Usually that happens just a couple of times a year.
I won't even mention my gear, it's just a rod 
But I'm eager to see the pictures of your big fishing scores !!!!

I have to admit gaming is on a low and sometimes I dislike that.
My PC is still up to speed so no new gadgets needed right now.
On a regular base I start up the old school Dinky Toy (Trackmania) and occasionaly a shooting game.

My main free time at this moment goes into gardening.
During the spring this year we completely started our garden by planting flowers, bushes, trees etc in it. They still need to grow a lot to cover all the ground, right now there is still (a lot of) space for weed.
Hours have already been spent on reducing that ...... Not always a hobby but it is also a nice time to relax with some nice music AND not have to think a lot about other stuff.

My main holliday will start in a week (going a week to France and other 2 weeks stay at home). For those who still get their time off: Enjoy the summertime !!

Hmm Nutr4... I know a fact you just builded a new PC    but fair enough 

Fishing was in the old/young days, but we keep talking about starting up on this again (at my new job half of the guys fish)
(got a Daiwa rood and a Princess wheel and ass.)

New hobbies:
None, im old schooler, stick to what U know    naa i just to buzy with my "new" job that i cant see more than that atm

But still doing: 
- New Garden projects: atm new terrace
- New Summerhouse projects:  Just finished extra room. Next: new kitchen
- New house projects: Driveway change/rebuild (Next: change the the terrace window/door to a version without door)

Other plans:
Startup gaming and MTB again (need to refurbish my bike first, got the parts)
and when i get old, start Windsurfing and Sports-Kite again (got tons of equipment for Xk eur's)

Still have one week left of summer vacation....

Well I had and old pre-build Dell from 2016, so I needed something new, but you are right, I just build a new PC for the first time in 12 years, and it was a challenge.

What can I say.. You are a maniac (btw thanks for your help building our greenhouse  )

But still doing:

I need to figure out why i cant play CoD anymore !
I installed new Gfx card and upgraded CoD to latest Warzone version, and since then it crash CoD when loading the game
PC/GFx works fine for all other thing, incl GFX test/stress proggys
so need to dig into GFx/game related issues (drivers)

but im up to some gaming again, i miss it a bit

I installed new Gfx card and upgraded CoD to latest Warzone version, and since then it crash CoD when loading the game

I had the same issues, I found that I needed to change my Windows Virtuel Pagefile from Windows standard ca. 4gb to system RAM x 1.5 = Start size, system RAM x3 = Max size.
(remember to save/use before closing the window)

And then I used DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Start windows in safemode, start DDU and choose GPU and Nvidia/AMD, remove with restart and then install the newest driver clean, no Geforce experience or Adrenalin (and remove any programs with in game overlays, steam, headset etc.)

nope, but it changed the behavior ! 
when pressing "PLAY" in Battle.net, it changes to "launching", then "Playing"
but the game never shows up !
after a minuet or so the "playing" change back to "Play"
I tried to use the "scan and repair"
Turned off "overlay" in Nvidia
change battle.net to start with admin right

no luck for eithers

btw: Windows recommend higher values for page file than your "calculation" came up with, so i set it to recommend values ( a bit higher)

Maybe an option to uninstall game, update GFX drivers (or reinstall) and then reinstall game ?

i Actually tried that just after i got the new GFx card.  I didn't use the DDU proggy at that time
right now im considering a total reinstall of the windows
